What we keep about you, why, for how long — and what you can ask us for.
Who we are

When you book an appointment
We process your name, email, phone number and whatever you tell us about your idea — to hold your slot, remind you of it (SMS and email) and prepare the work. The legal basis is our agreement with you.
When you pay a deposit or buy from the shop
Shopify processes your payment and order details. We never see your card number. The legal basis is our agreement with you and Danish bookkeeping law.
When you join Blackbook
We process your email to tell you about nights, drops and events. The legal basis is your consent — withdraw it any time via the unsubscribe link at the bottom of every mail.
When you get tattooed or pierced
We note what is needed to do the work safely — placement, motif or jewellery, and anything you tell us we should take into account. If you are under 18 and getting a piercing, we keep your parent's consent.
When you visit the site
We measure traffic with Vercel Web Analytics. It is cookieless: no cookies are set, no fingerprinting is used, and your IP address is not stored. We see which pages are visited — never who you are.
Who we share with
We never sell your information. We use data processors to run the business: Book.dk (booking system and SMS reminders), Shopify (payments, orders and mailing list), Simply.com (our mail) and Vercel (hosting and cookieless analytics). They only process under our instructions.
How long we keep it
Accounting records — orders and payments — are kept for 5 years after the end of the financial year, as Danish law requires. Booking details are kept while you are a customer with us. Blackbook signups are kept until you unsubscribe. Photos of your finished work are only used with your consent, and you can withdraw it.
Your rights
You can ask what we hold about you, have inaccurate information corrected, have deleted what we are not required to keep, and object to processing. Write to booking@inkandart.dk — we reply as soon as we can, and within a month at the latest.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we handle your information, we would like to hear it first — but you can always complain to the Danish Data Protection Agency (Datatilsynet), www.datatilsynet.dk.
